PROFESSIONAL VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
 

Hope Houses Host


Duties: The Hope Houses Host position exists to provide radical hospitality to our neighbors facing homelessness. This position includes: Greeting neighbors and establishing clear boundaries, staying overnight in our facility with neighbors, maintaining a clean and safe house for our staff and guest. The host serves in a team of two. 

 

Qualifications:  Must be 18 and older. Needs to be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced, sometimes chaotic environment. Volunteers will need to be able to work independently and unsupervised. 

 

Times Needed: Volunteers serve at least one shift per week. 
from 5pm-7am

Hope Houses Transportation Team Member


Duties: Our transportation team provides transport to and from our Hope House facility. This position includes: Providing radical hospitality while operating safe and clean transportation standards. 

Qualifications:  Must be 25 and older. Must have a clean driving record and be able to maintain ministry policies—comfortable driving 15 passenger van. 

Times Needed: Volunteers serve at least one shift per week. 
Voulnteers shifts are avaliable everyday, 6:30am - 8:00am, 5:00pm - 6:00pm

Hope Center Administrative Support


Duties: The Administrative Support position will staff our front desk, the main point of contact for all services and general information. This will include: Serving as the receptionist for Marked For Life Ministries Hope Line, greeting participants and guests, providing proper forms to participants and assisting in completing forms if needed, providing telephone numbers and other information referrals, preparing birth certificate applications for mailing, and assessing individual needs, make copies and transmit faxes, and assist the team with any necessary jobs.

Qualifications:    Needs to be able to multitask, and work in a fast-paced, sometimes chaotic environment. Volunteers will need to be able to work independently and unsupervised. Must have minimal computer skills and be willing to learn ministry programs and phone systems. 

Times Needed: Serve up to four hours per week. 

Tuesday 2pm-5pm 

Friday 10am-2pm and 2pm-5pm

Guest Services Assistant 

Duties: Guest Service assistants help process and organize donations for our food and clothing shopping experience. Keeping the shopping and sorting rooms clean and orderly, sort, wash, dry, organize clothing, and provide exceptional client care as they shop in The Hope Center. 

Times Needed: Serve up to four hours per week. 

Tuesday 10am-2pm 

Wednesday 10am-2pm

Thursday 10am-2pm

Remote Position: After Hours Hope Line

Duties: Our Hope Line volunteers receive ministry phone calls when we are out of the office. This position includes receiving phone calls with a caring and compassionate tone, scheduling appointments, and dispatching emergency needs to the correct party. Although this is a remote position, there are four weeks of required training in our physical office. 

Times Needed: Daily On Call 16 Hour Shifts 

Facilities Assistant 

Duties: Work with Marked For Life Ministries staff to maintain our beautiful facility by assisting with cleaning and maintenance projects.

Qualifications:    Must be 18 and older, have the ability to perform physical labor, and be able to complete projects unsupervised.

Times Needed: Up to four hours per week

Monday 2pm - 5pm

Wednesday 10am-2pm

Ministry Ambassador

Duties: The ministry ambassador position will be on the frontlines of Marked For Life Ministries, representing our wonderful nonprofit's work by attending community events, leading Hope Center tours, and presenting program services to ministry inquires. 

Qualifications:    Must be 18 and older, have the ability to speak to strangers, have exceptional people skills, excellent at following directions, technical abilities. 

Times Needed: As needed for events, four hours of office time per week.
