Stop, slow down, and breathe.
This past weekend it was time for us to head out of town for a ministry engagement, we also had a early appointment we had to go to so our day was completely filled. Of course since my name is Logan LeGrande I was running late. I have always had a huge pet peeve about being late. I inherited it from my family and many of my mentors. Every time I am running late it seems as if every slow car in Alabama jumps in front of me and goes as slow as possible, and just to add on this particular day construction is going on, on a SATURDAY! Then it was like the Lord slapped me and said Logan BREATHE.
Many times we take a very small situation that we can’t control (many times we put ourselves there) and make it something that it is not. We take a small situation and turn it into a huge mountain.
Philippians 4:6-7 "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."
When you begin to get stressed remember to stop and pray. Stress comes from over thinking and if you pray first you command the devil to shut his mouth from negative lies. Whenever something hard comes your way always remind yourself there is someone else going through much worse right now.
1 Peter 5:7 "Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. Have you ever actually thought about this verse? He loves us so much to take all of our fear and worry on His shoulders. He cares about us so much that He just wants to see His children filled with happiness."
Today I challenge you, when you get stressed out stop and pray. Don’t let a small situation become a joy sucker from you and those around you. STAND FIRM against the lies of the enemy and live in joy and happiness.
