Wow, I am a mess.
Have you ever thought that to yourself? Last night as I got in my car to drive to my house I turned my radio on and connected my phone to turn on my worship playlist. It was time for me to jump into the presence and go to war about some situations. I love moments in my 1998 Jeep where God just comes in and moves like a rushing wind. As I was worshiping I started thinking, we are messed up people in a messed up world. We sin we mess up we all fall short of the glory of God.
Many times in our life disaster hits and we feel so discouraged and beat down. We become ‘defeated’ and begin to identity our self as a victim of the disaster around us. We make mistakes and feel like we don’t even deserve to be in ministry to fulfill our calling, however I always love a whisper from my father God.
Romans 3:23” For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.”
We all have found our self messed up, tore up from the floor up and even strung out in ridiculousness. The important thing is if we’re willing to admit our mess ups and let God change us.
1 John 1:9 “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.”
It’s easy to get stuck on our mistakes and our past, but what if we just came to the conclusion of knowing God has forgiven us so we are going to forgive ourselves. Let’s be honest if we weren’t a mess we wouldn’t need the father. He is the one who puts the pieces in place and mends the broken mistakes.
Don’t let the enemy beat you down with lies, don’t ever let the devil say you’re not good enough. You are called, you have purpose, you have anointing, you have everything you need through Jesus. Don’t doubt your gifts or your calling, if He called you to it He will bring you through it.
So on this day I challenge you to get on your knees, spend some time in God’s presence and thank Him for bringing you out of the darkness and into the light. Pray as if every messed up place was mended and you were on top of the mountain. Faith can go a long way, trust me.
